Hospitality days conclude Rehoboth Art League’s annual Cottage Tour

This year’s 71st annual Rehoboth Art League (RAL) Cottage Tour has been held virtually but that’s about to change.

With Gov. John Carney’s COVID Emergency Order ending Tuesday, July 13, 2021, the Art League’s executive director Sara Ganter says it will welcome people to its Henlopen Acres campus for the tour’s finale.

“As things are opening up, we’re missing seeing peoples’ faces.,” said Ganter. “So though the tour is virtual, we are encouraging people to stop by our Gallery just to celebrate the finale of the tour. So that will be the final two days, which is Tuesday and Wednesday, July 13th and 14th.”

Ganter says the Cottage Tour has a long tradition of highlighting the best in Rehoboth-area art, architecture, interiors and landscape design.

This year’s virtual edition guides people through 10 homes – from the sleek and modern in North Shores to a traditional cottage on Silver Lake.

“We’re holding a couple of raffles in the Gallery and any Cottage Tour ticket holder is automatically entered,” Ganter said. :So we have some limited edition prints that we’ll be raffling off, as well as a private party at the Art League. So we’re pretty excited. We hope to see some of the ticket holders come through to give us some feedback and share their experiences on what they thought of the first-ever virtual tour.”                              .”

Ganter says ticket sales from the Cottage Tour support the Rehoboth Art League’s year-round exhibition and education programs.

Delaware Public Media’ s arts coverage is made possible, in part, by support from the Delaware Division of the Arts, a state agency dedicated to nurturing and supporting the arts in Delaware, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts.
